Our Journey
The LK Domain Registry (www.domains.lk), which is a not-for-profit organization established in 1990 in Sri Lanka, is the sole administrator of the top-level “.lk” domain, initiated several high-impact social empowerment initiatives with the aim of driving the mandate of enhancing Internet usage to foster a better digital landscape within Sri Lanka, through its Partnership Division and e-Learning Division. The Partnership Division orchestrated community and outreach initiatives that were geared towards empowering individuals to adeptly and securely harness an extensive range of technologies and resources to navigate the digital landscape confidently and safely. The e-Learning Division over the last decade has driven the organization’s mandate to create and facilitate an enabling and progressive ICT culture through enhancing and expanding ICT education, training, and awareness across Sri Lanka.

Cyber Lowata Piyapath: Building their own school website Project
In partnership with the Ministry of Education and Webcomms Global (Pvt) Ltd., we launched Cyber Lowata Piyapath, a project whose goal was to train students to design and deliver a dedicated website for every government school in Sri Lanka.
